# Choose groups and alerts

Your group selection, favourite callers and alert preferences belong to your inbox. Changing them does not change another customer's feed.

## Add or remove groups

Open the connection page and tap **Choose groups**. Search for a group, tick or untick it, then tap **Save groups**. Pagination and selection stay on the same page.

You can select up to 50 groups or channels that your Telegram account can access. Joining a new group does not automatically add it to Kyela.

The bot's **Groups** menu also lets you review and remove selected groups. To browse your Telegram groups and add more, open the connection page.

If a group is missing, check that you are signed in to the right Telegram account and still belong to it. Groups with Telegram content protection are excluded.

## Decide what deserves an alert

Open **Alerts** in the bot. Choose:

* **Every new address immediately** for the quickest delivery.
* **Priority now, others in a digest** for immediate alerts from your chosen callers and batches for everyone else.
* **Priority only** to receive alerts only from your chosen callers.

Choose favourite callers from accounts Kyela has observed in your selected groups. A caller may not appear until Kyela has seen a post from them. Names can change; the selection follows the posting account.

Priority means you chose that caller. It is not a rating of an address or a prediction of its performance.

## Reduce repetition

Repeat suppression controls how soon another mention of the same address can trigger a new ordinary alert. Choose 1, 6 or 24 hours.

A first mention from a favourite caller can still promote an address you already saw. After the suppression period, another mention may be shown as previously seen.

## Adjust the rest

Use **Settings** in the bot for quiet hours, timezone, card detail and retained history. Quiet hours defer notifications; they do not make your phone keep collecting in the background.

Digest mode offers 5, 15, 30 or 60-minute intervals. For prompt delivery without a digest wait, use immediate alerts.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://kyela-inbox.gitbook.io/kyela-inbox-docs/groups-and-alerts.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
